Gareth is a Real Estate Broker with over 28 years of experience in Residential & Commercial Real Estate. For 15 years, he actively traded in multi-occupant commercial properties.
Gareth holds multiple designations and is trained faculty with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) for seven NAR designation programs. Gareth instructs the ABR, CIPS, C-RETS, PSA, RENE, SRES and SRS programs.
From July 2017 until June 2020, Gareth served as an elected Board Director and was also the Chairman of the Commercial Committee at the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board. Attending NAR, RECO, OREA and CREA AGM’s and Conferences keeps him current with real estate trends and in contact with industry leadership across Canada and the U.S. Gareth was appointed as the single Ontario representative for the CREA Code of Ethics Committee and assisted in re-writing of REBBA 2002 into TRESA.
Most recently, Gareth was the Executive Vice-President of the Real Estate Institute of Canada, a national Not-For-Profit organization providing advanced real estate education. Prior to this position, he was the Managing Broker for Canada’s largest independent brokerage in Toronto and was Manager of Commercial Mortgages with CIBC at their head office in Toronto.
He passionately believes in the importance of a positive corporate culture, community involvement, long term relationships building, networks and ethical business practices. He believes that clients want and need the highest standard of professionalism and complete honesty and must enjoy the experience presented in order to remain loyal. Gareth states, “The real estate industry must embrace new technology but also recognize that we are in the emotions and client expectation management business. Without a supportive environment, true commitment and passion towards our industry, clients and colleagues, we will be ever diligent in our efforts to retain consumer confidence and continue to grow our business not based on how many agents we can recruit but rather on how many very professional and ethical agents we can attract to our brokerage. It’s not about quantity it’s about quality! The potential for Ball Real Estate Inc. has no limits. We must always be mindful that the current and well-earned success cannot be jeopardized. I believe wholeheartedly in evidence based change. At Ball Real Estate Inc. we strive to create an environment that our sales team can enjoy while enabling them to succeed alongside of their clients.
The Jones family is currently residing in Newmarket and consists of Gareth’s wife of 32 years, Wanda and their three children Hannah, Paul and Beth. They have fallen in love with the Kawartha Lakes area from their boating experiences on the Trent and have recently purchased a waterfront property in the Kawarthas.
Gareth will be a non-soliciting licensed Broker. His time will be dedicated to managing and operating Ball Real Estate Inc. offices. Gareth is as excited to take on this new adventure as we are to welcome him. Please join us in looking forward to continued fun and excitement ahead, including steady growth, culture strength and market dominance.
